HOW IS MULTIFUNCTIONAL DAMDEX DIFFERENT

DAMDEX is a versatile cement additive that in a thin mix can be brushed-on, mixed like a cement adhesive (medium mix) and cement that is strong, tough, and water resistant (thick mix). DAMDEX can be used for a whole range of jobs. For all uses see "USES & APPLICATIONS"

WHAT ADVANTAGES DOES DAMDEX HAVE OVER COMPETITIVE WATERPROOFING PRODUCTS?

Leak proof and ordinary waterproof elastic type bitumen products cannot withstand the sun's heat for very long and soon lose their elasticity so that water leaks in again. On the other hand DAMDEX® The Number One cement additive can withstand the weather extremes much longer because it is versatile. DAMDEX being a cement based mix penetrates deep down into cracks something bitumen cannot do.

IS IT TRUE DAMDEX CAN BE USED FOR A VARIETY OF FUNCTIONS?

DAMDEX has the flexibility to be used in a number of ways, in various consistencies: with cement and DAMDEX alone like putty (thick mix) or with cement plus sand and water (medium mix) plus in-between consistencies. DAMDEX makes cement much more multifunctional. It can be used with just water and cement (Thin mix) for a leak-proof coating. As a medium mix for plastering, grouting, tile laying or reinforcing concrete. And a thick mix can be used in or under water, too.

IS DAMDEX DIFFICULT TO APPLY?

DAMDEX is actually very easy to use. Basically DAMDEX can be mixed three ways like a paint, an ordinary cement consistency or thick like putty. Depending on the type of work to be done mix the appropriate consistency and away you go. With a thick mix of only cement and DAMDEX work fast because it dries quickly. Better still do not mix too much until you are familiar with using the various mixtures. DAMDEX dries and hardens quite quickly.

WHY MUST DAMDEX ONLY BE ADDED TO CEMENT? WHAT ABOUT OTHER MATERIALS?

DAMDEX only works with cement powder, the common base material for concrete, mortar, stucco, plaster and most grouting. No other base material has as many uses as cement powder and DAMDEX gives even more uses. However cement also has disadvantages. It can shrink during drying causing cracks but they are easily filled with a medium/thick mixture. DAMDEX is specifically designed to make working with cement easier producing much better results. Do not use DAMDEX with plaster of paris, ie. white cement.
